That Horace guy or whatever gives me a really weird feeling, and not in a good way. Anyone else think it's kinda sketchy that he just appeared out of nowhere and is all Mr. Helpful?

Unfairly or not, I totally hated him from his first moment of screentime.

On the one hand, he's a high school teacher. And if Buffy has taught me anything, it's that high school teachers either wind up evil or eaten. And Leslie dodged being eaten, so.

On the other, he pretty much seems like a deus ex machina character forced in because the writers realised that they had a doctor, an engineer, a fisherman, a hunter and a herbalist, but they had no scientists. And if they're going to be getting cracked out with their sci-fi they need someone to explain it in simpler terms for everyone.

Granted, they had Rosseau who could do all that and -not- be a pain in the ass, but she's crazy, so.
