Ya know, we all say that. "This is the best thing since sliced bread". And yet, we all go out and buy bread-making machines, because we know that homemade bread is actually better than store-bought sliced bread.

Then again, I guess it would sound kinda silly if we said "This is the best thing since the bread I made yesterday." Narrows the frame of reference a bit.

I was about to make a comment along those lines. There is NOTHING like a warm crispy chcolate-chip waffle. My family thinks I'm mad, though. I swear, they couldn't look more weirded out if I were grilling a weasel in the wafflemaker. And if you knew my family, you'd realize how bizarre it is that such a whacko bunch is baffled by something as pedestrian as a chocolate chip waffle.

I should be frightened by your near unslakeable thirst for waffles (that's right, it's so bad it's a thirst) but you should see my dad. His love for a restaraunt waffle has shot terror straight into the spines of the cooks. They know the waffle machine is practically medieval in the contraption torture it inflicts. Waffles laugh at you. Laugh at how hard it is to clean the waffle-makers out. They know they're delicious, and they can make you do whatever they want.

(By the way, I have terrible aim, and sometimes hit "submit" when I mean "preview". I'm really sorry to flood your e-mail box like that.)
