LOL I saw that. My first thought was "Is that where gerard butler is?" Then I realized it couldn't possibly be him - he looks different, and that's just SO beneath him.

Also - really lame gimmick. REALLY lame.

I'm still blind from Beyonce's disco-globe dress, dear. Could you put audio on this post? ;)

At least she didn't mug a drag queen for this dress.

A drag princess, maybe.

I couldn't help but wish that he'd give a healthy tug on her arm and send her sprawling down the stairs.

*laughs madly* Ahem...Poor bastard is pretty much what I thought, too.

And what was up with Beyonce singing practically everything? Josh Groban would've been fine by himself. :P

Thirded. (Is that even a word? Ah, who cares after "Beyonce's Oscars" my brain is whimpering for help.)

Josh should have done a hustle move and bump her off the stage.

ROTLMAO!!!! Envisioning that is just priceless. Too bad Josh is a gentleman! ;) And it's not that I don't like Beyonce, I just was like wtf? at her singing practically every nominated song.

I had some speculation about that in my LJ. I toyed with the idea it might be Antonio Banderas--he was the Phantom on Broadway for a while, I think. I know he sang the Phantom's part in the Andrew Lloyd Weber 50th birthday gala dealie. So it would've been a nice nod. But I think that guy's too short.

Also, Antonio, despite what he's let happen to his hair, has more dignity than that.

He didn't look all that happy, I think he looked at Beyonce once during the whole song. But yes he is too much of a gentlemen to act like that.

And I don't usually mind Beyonce either but it seems she did something or someone to warrant all this "Beyonce Night" I currently feel like Jan Brady... "Beyonce Beyonce Beyonce"

I'm probably going to get tossed off a pier with an anchor around my legs for this, but I wasn't impressed with Josh Groban's performance. He hit all the notes, sure, but he emoted like a cinderblock. [shrug] I'd much rather have had the original artists doing all the songs, or if they weren't available or whatever then clips from the movies where the songs are actually sung, but given that they wanted different artists I think Beyonce by herself would've been better than Beyonce and Josh Groban.

Angie, ducking into her bomb shelter [grin]

Thank God that was not Gerard Butler ...

... my love for him would of been seriously diminished. Rob Lowe redux? Uhhh, no thanks.
Instead the man has the good taste to hang with Emily Mortimer (squishes her w/ love) instead of Beyonce. http://www.livejournal.com/community/gerardbutler/97586.html#cutid1

No ducking needed. As much as I adore Josh, he didn't emote much. I kinda think the poor thing was a tad uncomfortable. Either that or he had been half bored to death by the ceremony and simply could not find any emotions. You're safe, hon. ;)

He didn't look happy at all. Actually, poor bebeh didn't look much of anything.
And I don't usually mind Beyonce either but it seems she did something or someone to warrant all this Heh. Agreed.
