Horoscope of Irony, Perhaps: It's a fine day to be a Sag [damn, it's good to be a gangsta]. The heavens are urging the whole world to be just as excessive, lavish and extravagant as you always seem to be. You'll help, too -- by showing us how it's done.
They say Sagittarians are lucky -- all the time. You, of course, may have something different to say about that in general, but for the next few weeks -- and for today, in particular -- you'll definitely have your share. Expect your luck to arrive through amazing situations, coincidental meetings and odd circumstances. Oh, and remember: there really is no such thing as a coincidence.
How's the weather up my ass, horoscope?
Star Wars finished. Rewarded self with raisin-and-hazelnut chocolate bar. Mmmmmhazelnuts.
Speaking of which: new Episode III posters.
Teh Squish reviews Ray, Hotel Rwanda, and The Aviator.
Heeee, Puppet Angel. I never watched the show, but still: hee.
Several fun things to pre-order at Amazon, if you'd like to help 4christina.org out while you're at it:
A Sin City making-of book! Now I just have to buy all the graphic novels as well;
A three-disc Phantom of the Opera DVD coming out in May, apparently in addition to one- and two-disc versions;
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, if you haven't ordered that yet;
The eventual Lost first season DVD set, coming out (I believe) this summer?
Believe it or not, this is true. A lot of my humor is based around the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE AND/OR HYSTERIA, I know, but that's basically something I do in writing because I'm not like that in person. I hate arguments, fights, yelling, all that jazz in real life... which I finally realized that y'all might not know just from reading my journal. So... The More You Know (ding!).

Date: 2005-02-18 11:43 am (UTC)Anyhow, I got a somewhat of a horoscope of irony the other day, and it said that on March 1st I would start to have really good luck for the next 3 months. Maybe it applies to you. Hm.

Date: 2005-02-18 12:14 pm (UTC)I want to personally thank you for adding the Amazon referral link. It has generated a few hundred dollars in the last three months and it all helps.
I would guess you have earned angel wings for all you have and continue to do for me and my family. Check your bed in the morning or feathers, there must be a few you shed from those angelic wings!
I consider my heart like`a patchwork quilt quilt, with all those friends, family and aquaintances who each make a unique patch that is my heart. Those patches hold my heart together. I would say your patch consists of the funny and poignant words written on thin layers of chocolate. From the sound of your posts you might just have chocolate in your veins instead of blood. That is what makes you really sweet I guess!
You are indeed one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure to cross paths with in my life.
Thank your Mom for raising such a compassionate, loving daughter, and give yourself a hug today for just being you!
Many Hugs,
Christina

Date: 2005-02-18 02:47 pm (UTC)Still think Lady Luck is smiling on you? Well, you're right. It's the kind of luck that involves being in the right place at the right time with the right line -- which makes it your favorite kind.
Luck is still in the air. Big time. That goes for all of us, but no one is going to be as lucky at love as you will be -- as if you ever needed any help in that department. Your usual magnetic charm will be running on high, but you'll also be incredibly perceptive. It's almost not fair. The only thing you can do to make it up to the rest of us is to share something with us that we all want: a bit of your time. It's the least you can do ....
Why, look at that! More luck! And also, man, where ARE all these love interests that I'm beating off with sticks, evidently? My horoscope is always promising the hotass and never coming through.
I will gladly share myself with my adoring public, though. Hee!

A lot of my humor is based around the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE AND/OR HYSTERIA
That is because CAPSLOCK IS COMEDY GOLD OMGWTFBBQ.

Date: 2005-02-20 03:49 am (UTC)I couldn't resist and pre-ordered HPB. I'm weak, but at least I'm guaranteed a copy! Although, curiously enough, the last two years in a row I have been somehow amazingly lucky to walk into stores and get their last unreserved copies. Don't ask me how I do it, it's a talent.

Date: 2005-02-20 09:36 am (UTC)A Sin City making-of book! Now I just have to buy all the graphic novels as well
I have all the graphic novels on CD O:-) There's this little program that lets you "read" scanned images of comic pages... it's really cool. You HAVE to read the "Sin City" comics, they're amazing. I'm excited about the movie, because, from the trailers, it seems it really captures the essence of the comics.
Anyway, if you're interested, I could send all the files to you :)

Date: 2005-02-20 12:00 pm (UTC)Sin City goodies!
Date: 2005-02-20 09:22 pm (UTC)Based on the graphic novels "Sin City" (this was the first of all the stories and originally had no title, but Miller has since re-named it "The Hard Good-Bye"), "The Big Fat Kill" and "That Yellow Bastard", by Frank Miller. The infamous "opening footage" with Josh Hartnett and Marley Shelton is from the Sin City short-story "The Customer is Always Right" from the "Babe Wore Red" collection.
So, you have to at least read those three storylines before seeing the movie, I guess :)
Anyway, these are the files that I have:
Sin City - Episodes 001 - 013 (The Hard Goodbye) (1993)
Sin City - A Dame to Kill for - 001 - 006 (1993 - 1994)
Sin City - The Babe Wore Red and Other Stories (1994)
Sin City - The Big Fat Kill - 001 - 005 (1994 - 1995)
Sin City - Silent Night (1995)
Sin City - That yellow bastard - 001 - 006 (1996)
Sin City - Lost, Lonely & Lethal (1996)
Sin City - Sex And Violence (1997)
Sin City - Family Values (1997)
Sin City - Just Another Saturday Night (1998)
Sin City - Hell And Back - A Sin City Love Story - 001 - 009 (1999 - 2000)
That makes about 45 files... plus the little software package to read them. That should all fit in one CD. If you give me your address, I could send it to you by snail mail, no problem.
So, it's up to you ;)
~*Tess*~
p.s.: By the way, here's the Sin City page at Dark Horse (http://www.darkhorse.com/zones/sincity/index.php). Enjoy!
