All right--word in the comments on the street is that you're restricted to smaller files, but you get more downloads at youshareit.com. This makes it feasible for me to actually upload stuff for y'all, so it's time for me to share the wealth after weeks (if not months) of mooching off other people's music posts.

ETA: Well, shit. Looks like youshareit doesn't want to play. We're back to yousendit, and I'm changing the links out as fast as I can. Let me know when a link runs out.

Thus, I bring y'all Valentine gifts:

"Cells," The Servant (Sin City trailer). I think most people who wanted it got it, but hey, why not? [livejournal.com profile] sweinberg and I hashed out the lyrics here.
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3EWETHDMPJ7T22T6S3O2G1CQWW

"Strangelove," Depeche Mode. I just really like Depeche Mode.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?c90a257dbb15565508b613e2ea313f49
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3EVA8TWIZ5JV10YUJ8HW3ZJVEO

"I'm on Fire," Bruce Springsteen. Brief and quiet and haunting. I don't have it on this computer, but check out Tori Amos' live VH1 cover of this sometime. I'll post it once I get Betsy 2 online.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?eb8a8eb8c1b95fea5e7681e254f5e287
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2XNYVHVB99MBA15N5TK969BLPH

"I Hate Myself for Loving You," Joan Jett. Just awesome.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?81f87abfd008e31bc4785d0a9527bdee
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=22Z4H8ZQG8GTH2G1EYNJCS8DEF

"Layla," Eric Clapton (original version). I kind of wish I had a short edit of this song that cut off right when the piano starts, because--I mean, the piano is beautiful and I would keep the full version on hand, but... sometimes you just want guitars.

http://s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2CL9DF6MHPN7J1NU85TU94753G

"Can't Get You Out of My Head," the infamous Garbage/Kylie cover. For those of you who didn't hear about this the first time: be warned, it's very short, and clearly just a tangent during a live concert performance. It's by no means a full, polished track.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?3e11b6ba982b933fd3313946dff1de46
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=07HB67J9A5GTS0OJS3AYIH9HD7

"My Happy Ending," Avril Lavigne. Also known as "my secret shame."
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?f9e08f9697d32f49032ce52465088e97
http://s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3N04LUL9VNXQE2LTLA2ELFHZ6X

"I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)," Meatloaf (or is it Meat Loaf?). So incredibly awesome in its cheesitude.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?79fac021099a145f31221d44a9363a8e
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0TBPH65UI7IKQ33CZZS8DUFTUN

"Lauren Caught My Eye," The Crash. A SONG WITH MY NAME IN IT OMG.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?c3a249c26088aad5720acc96b46d4521
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0ZGO96AIN4BN92IE54YLZZBO76

"Singing in My Sleep," Semisonic. My favorite Semisonic song is "Secret Smile," but, again, it's not on this computer.
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?7668fb8ff16b0f0534879cd7bfadee82
http://s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=15F7VS91SGIMU2J8V6Q8ONWCR7

And two live Kelly Clarkson performances bootlegged from the first season of American Idol, both really beautiful and a sometimes rough but completely free of melisma (is that the word? The up-and-down Christina/Mariah shrieking). Not what you would expect now from the show:

"Think Twice"
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?33f74c790c84a3841f045856179fe16e
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3JW900WOUAZJA20KC4RWGXP17F

"I Surrender"
http://s3.youshareit.com/download.php?472f5f2791e530ce5a72b6c33d929437
http://s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2YQQ4LQW2S6BI2GZQFRS3U64TB

I had trouble uploading some of these, so if for some reason the link doesn't work or the file isn't complete, let me know and I'll repost it.

Either people already downloaded everything to death without leaving any comments, or something's wrong with the links :S And I applaud for the Joan Jett song :)

Okay, the former is impossible as I posted this all of thirty seconds ago, so... let me check the links.

Getting an error message on "Cells" and "singing In My Sleep."

I am amused by the line on the error page which reads "file was reported of heaving dangerous or illegal content." It does not report at whom the dangerous or illegal content was heaved.

Wait, wait. I figured it out.

Okay, right click on the link and Save As. Then go to that file on your harddrive and double click it. THEN you can download the song.

I just downloaded "Cells" in this manner.

Am waiting patiently for link-changeouts on a few of these, but just commenting to say yay for cheesitude! I bought the Pat Benatar Greatest Hits album the other day (it's a German import album, found hidden in the depths of Best Buy), and while I do love PB...she's totally got some wicked 80s buzz.

Whee! Garbage! What fun. Amusingly enough, my Winamp playlist has a section of songs:

Can't Cry These Tears
Can't Get You Out of My Head (Live)
Can't Seem to Make You Mine

Shirley is so negative.

And I think it's Meat Loaf, as his Fight Club credit would attest.

It took me hours (two minutes + cache + ctrl F) on Google to find those lyrics, and they were seconds from my fingertips all this time? Bah.

Is "I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" that song in that pepsi commercial? The commercial makes me cry. The bastard won't give her pepsi. And that stuff's $4.99 at the grocery store for a six pack.

Could I humbly request you refresh (or whatever) the Avril song? I've had no luck taping it off the radio...I'm so hopelessly low-tech, I know. I ended up liking Avril in spite of myself after my brother became a fan; her I'm-an-angry-angry-girl image is cheesy, but I keep hearing songs of hers that I can't help but like.
I have no Valentine's gift for you in return, but you are invited in spirit to me & my friends' get-together on the day: we're watching movies where stuff blows up good and eating chocolate. Hooray for girl-friends!
