Oh, God. Not only is the TMI back (I think what happened is that I finally had half a grilled chicken breast last night, and my stomach just wasn't ready for it), but Pottergate has flared up worse than ever. I mean, Sister Girl borrowed the movie from me last night. She has finally seen it. Why is it such a big deal? She apparently had words with Mom over it--keep in mind that my mother is extremely complaisant with Sister Girl; it's not like she's going to pick a fight with her or speak harshly. When it comes to my sister, Mom's the frickin' Vichy Regime--and just now stormed past me and slammed her door. Apparently she's refusing to help Mom cook, which is more of an emotional wound than a practical hinderance, because Mom's been ably cooking all of this herself since time immemorial. And Mom was then so hurt that I heard her yell--probably intending no one else to hear it--"MAYBE WE JUST OUGHT TO CANCEL THANKSGIVING THEN!" OH MY GOD WHY IS THIS STILL GOING ON? WHERE IS ANYONE'S HOLIDAY SPIRIT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? AT LEAST YOU CAN EAT! GROW UP, ALL OF YOU!

Pottergate update: I came downstairs and found Mom and Sister Girl bickering "pleasantly" over the best way to mix the cornbread dressing, so apparently all rifts have been healed. And then we watched the first half of Sorcerer's Stone (through the Quidditch match, however far that is), because Sister Girl won't let Mom watch the end of POA until she's seen all of the first two. As long as they're not arguing, I don't care.

Also: I "let slip" that I've ordered Sister Girl the willow wand she wanted for Christmas, and will not hesitate to send it back if she doesn't behave herself. Santa Cleo sees all, yo.
