Whew. Titanic sample (only five pages, so don't get too excited yet) is off. Dolphin appearances so far: 3. I think the Vengeful Dolphins are going to be this movie's running gag.
Of course, now I'm so behind that I have to pull both Titanic and Attack of the Clones out of my ass by Friday. And a paper on The Wide Wide World. WHEE.

anne_jumps, although you've all seen it by now: Are you a goth? According to St. Mary's Catholic Church... yes. I don't even know you, but yes. You are a goth. Just trust me on this. And have your parents "enlist" you at a mental health center, stat.
Texas Teens Increased Sex After Abstinence Program. Yeah, let's tell a bunch of teenagers not to do something and see what happens. Brilliant.
At Tomato Nation: Girls Bike Club 6. I love Sars, but Girls Bike Club makes me howl.
The 50 Most Loathsome People of 2004.
"A buffalo that escaped from an auction ended up in a dressing room at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center where it spent a couple of hours staring into a mirror."
Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has once again slammed reports her breasts are fake in a bid to temper the increasing "hysteria" they're generating. OH, THE HUMANITY!
What's your rock star name? I am Zola Pop, because I RULE.
Press Release: "Science Fiction Authors Hoax Vanity Publisher." This is Atlanta Nights again--I adore that they actually put out a press release for this. Also? I didn't even catch that the "author's" name is a pun until someone pointed it out to me.
Cleo Pleads with Her Readership to Go See Phantom of the Opera, Episode 46: I was chatting with someone using the "comedy sheep" icon in a Phantom icon community the other night, and she basically said, "You know, I read the parody before I saw the movie, and I thought, 'Oh, comedy sheep, that's really cute.' I didn't realize that there were actual sheep in the movie. I just about died when they actually showed up." I keep telling y'all: I Am Not. Making This Stuff. Up. And I like going on tangents and flights of fancy. It's just that, with this movie, I didn't have to.
P.S. Vladimir is actually going to a press screening on Thursday, so you'll get an actual, bonafide, paid critic's opinion as to whetherI am this movie is on crack or not.

Date: 2005-02-02 06:17 am (UTC)... I totally lost it during Don Juan Triumphant thanks to you - as did my roommate and our friend. The Dread Pirate Roberts Background Dancers did all three of us in and probably ruined the movie for anyone within three rows of us.

Date: 2005-02-02 06:21 am (UTC)Man, I am starting to feel really, really bad about ruining the movie for innocent bystanders. No, I'm serious. I wish we had the money to rent out theaters and have, like, Rocky Horror-style Phantom screenings.

Date: 2005-02-02 06:40 am (UTC)That sounds like the most painful reverse enema imaginable.
There are portions of nonsensical text in the manuscript that were caught by our editing staff as they previewed the text for editing time assessment pending your acceptance of our offer.
Hee hee. "Somehow, we overlooked this nonsense initially, but once we put our glasses on, it was obvious there were monkeys involved, or drugs, or perhaps monkeys on drugs."

Also, she said your POA m15m was hysterical

Date: 2005-02-02 07:04 am (UTC)I saw Phantom with a friend of mine who hadn't read the m15m for it, and we laughed in all the same places (when i say laughed, i mean gasped for air, and clutched each other's sleeves like dying leeches, causing the teenyboppers behind us to think we were insane), i was laughing cause i was quoting the m15m in my head, and she was laughing because you are so so right about it all.

Date: 2005-02-02 09:16 pm (UTC)... if you'll excuse me I have to go scream at the world again. The abstinace-only education irritates me like nothing else. I suppose it's backlash from having a highschool that was 1/3 full of pregnant girls or teenage mothers. Why? Because of abstinace only education. Thank god for my mom who taught me the important things. Like the pill.
