Mom is making banana bread and waiting for the Phantom and Aviator clips. Bless her, I think this is the most interested she's been in years. Also, she had no idea who Clive Owen was until I said, "You know, King Arthur!" "Ohhhhhhh! We like him!"

The commercial where the woman tries on dresses for her car (to the tune of "Dream On") creeps me out. I think I've written about that before, actually.

Aaaand Glenn Close has to turn right back around and present. And she thanks the HFPA belatedly. GET OFF THE STAAAAAGE. She presents a clip from Closer. ("Toad." "Frog." "Toad." "Frog." "Toad. Frog. Lobster. It's all the same.") The Lovely Emily saw it and basically said that it was good but all the characters were nastAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IT'S EWAN! I LOVE YOU, EWAN! GET YOUR FILTHY MITTS OFF HIM, SCARLETT JOHANSSON! Scarlett is continuing in her Marilyn Monroe fixation, by the way. Best Foreign Film: Some French movie about a chorus. House of Flying Daggers (yay!). The Motorcycle Diaries. The Sea Inside. A Very Long Engagement (yay!). The Sea Inside wins. Well, dammit. I mean, I'm sure it's a fine film, but... dammit.

[livejournal.com profile] potatofishy has just brought up the point that Will Ferrell apparently said he hurt his eye in a boating accident. Not a voting accident. Oh. Well, I was kind of wondering...

More Dr. Pepper commercials. I really want... a Sprite right now.

I described it to a fellow Cleo-worshipper like this: It's Cleo. 'Slike god giving me a shout-out in the book of Revelation.

Yours is probably better, though.

Some French movie about a chorus.

"The Chorus" - and it is such a wonderful movie. I would have loved to see it win (but then I didn't see any of the other movies, so, er, well.)

You just HAD to mention banana bread...must...resist...going...to...kitchen

Just recently got the parents addicted to Clive - dad had to call to let me know he won even though he knew I was watching.

You did let her know which piece of King Arthur eye candy he was, right?

Oh yeah. Trust me, I point him out enough. "Whee! Look! It's King Arthur!" We see Horatio Hornblower DVDs: "Look, it's Lancelot!"

Heh. Also just addicted the parents to the HH series. They're so easily influenced.

Mom did admit that Ioan bare arse was very nice in Mutiny whilst Dad chuckled in the background.

I don't care how awesome the commercials are, I will never stop thinking that Dr. Pepper tastes like what cockroaches would taste like. Blaargh.

Strange... I think black olives are what cockroaches would taste like.

But what do I know? I drink DP.

Huh, I thought Ferrell said "voting" too.

From what I've heart of The Sea Inside, it sounds really amazing. I think I really want to see that now.

The commercial where the woman tries on dresses for her car (to the tune of "Dream On") creeps me out. I think I've written about that before, actually.

Actaully, I'm just happy it's a black woman and some deep-bass-voiced brother isn't doing the voiceover, nor is really, bad, smooth jazz playing in the background...

Just say'n...But yeah, still creepy. Maybe the car is Christine and she's a lesbian? I dunno...

Scarlett is continuing in her Marilyn Monroe fixation, by the way.

I agree completely. I'd like to add that in all of the pictures from the red capet and the "after-party" she looks like she's lost, or just unhappy.

Here to give a shout-out to my own personal actor God, Ewan Gordon (hottest guy on Earth) McGregor. I know most people wouldn't agree with me that he's the hottest, and that means all the more EW for ME! For which I am very grateful. I have a strange mental disorder, it involves hating most of the actresses who get to work with Ewan, the only ones I have managed not to completely loath include Nicole Kidman, and the chic he played with on Trainspotting (who also got to make out with Clive Owen on Gosford Park, sorry I can't remember her name, and she's so lucky I should hate her, but I don't) There are others, like Keira (sp) Knightly (who got to make out with Orlando Bloom, damn!) and...well...I'm off to create my perfect cast for a movie now, Ewan McGregor...Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Eric Bana, Clive Owen, Jude Law...

one gets the idea.

oh to be Eve Mavrakis (sp) in 05!

cheers and love

Yeah, except I forgot to mention David Wenham. *slaps self on hand*

How could I forget David?!

*Goes off to write a script with all of these fine actors in mind*

Nothing wrong with running with these beauties in mind when in the process of creating!

cheers
