Jan. 14th, 2005 12:40 pmWhee! Spent about two hours out on the street last night talking to one of my best friends from high school--I haven't seen her in at least a year, maybe two, but she was randomly home this weekend and her parents live at the top of my street. She and her dad were out walking their new beagle mix, and my mom was out walking the dogses, so she ran in and got me and we stood out there and yay! Also, Ann informs me that she has acquired the nickname "The Jam," and I think I have convinced her to get a journal, so The Jam may come out to play with us soon.
Off to class and more cultural-studies blather. Yar. However, it has gotten nice and frosty and I get to wear my Ravenclaw scarf. Yay! Also: Eventually I will get sick of this icon, but I don't foresee it happening any time soon.

Date: 2005-01-14 09:11 pm (UTC)What really makes it funny is that she's very young and impressionable and this masked guy shows up and he's all "I am the Angel of Music your father sent who may or may not be your father's actual ghost," okay, so then they go down and sing "Music of the Night" and totally grope each other and she takes off his mask and he throws a hissy and it should be ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that this is just some guy, and moreover, a guy who wants to get with her pretty bad. So. Cemetery. She hears him singing from inside her father's tomb. Now, she KNOWS this guy. She KNOWS HIS VOICE, because that's supposedly what's so enchanting (that, and he's frickin' hot). But she's all like, "Daddy? Is that you?" Yeah. That's why Raoul is like, "DUH, NO IT'S NOT," and why I had the Phantom say in the parody, "Yes I am! I'm totally her dad! Daddy loves you, Christine!"
WAH!
