P.S. You might want to read the actual post. It's actually very heartening: they're not going to combine LJ and MT, and not much is going to change, except they're going to add prettier layouts and more support and stuff. All panic is on hold until further notice.

Oh! Thanks for the headsup, I was looking for some official announcement but couldn't pin it down. And far too many times I've seen companies make sweet promises when they take over another company, only to see the taken over company gutted for parts and userbase and left to rot in the sun.

Were you paying attention when Six Apart fucked their loyal userbase about a year ago? They lost about half of us through backtracking on pretty words. I'm not all that optimistic at the mo', but LJ has always been a meetup place for me and I won't lose much if it's buggered.
