Dude, the people living behind us have some big-ass fireworks going off. I'm sure the rooster is scared stupid right about now. The upside is, I have a perfect view from the window by my computer.

Haven't started drinking yet, sadly--I'm moving pretty well, if slowly, on Matrix. Can't decide if drinking would help or hinder. Also, I'm getting really, really tired of treading water on this one, and I want to move on to Attack of the Clones already.

I did just go back and read "Troy in Fifteen Minutes," partly for old times' sake, but partly... partly because I kind of wanted to see how I did it. You know? I'm starting to wonder how I ever did it at all.

Happy New Year, dear! I've been hearing fireworks all the time in my apartment complex, which is strange as they were no longer allowed after one building burned down on NYE of 1999/2000. Ooops and there is a firetruck. Probably racing down 280 o_O.

Anyway, stay safe, and have a drink for me! <3

You're thinking too much about it now.

That went through before it was supposed to. I was going to say, "Maybe liberal application of alcohol will help."

Heh. Yeah, the last line of the entry sounds a little more dire than I meant it to. Maybe it's more a comment on the fact that the best things happen when you're not trying too hard, or at all. And on that note, I'ma get me something fruity to drink with a girlie name. Whee!

I was going to say something like that. 'Troy15m' was done for fun, and not for a book with a looming deadline. Have you tried psyching yourself out of it by pretending the 15m's for the book are just for fun and there is no book?

You'd think that'd work, except now I just want to write *other* 15Ms that aren't for the book.

As long as you realize it was one of the most hilarious things I've ever read, everything's good. :-)

I gave up on my NYE party because there was drinking involved. I'm just a good sober teenager, I suppose.

So the water thing didn't work out exactly as we had expected. The great thing is that not just one but two companies realized the need for water supplies and plan on addressing that need. In the end, I'd rather have the victims of this natural disaster get what they need before we can truly put some sort of idea into motion.

Although...there are still some things that I'm not sure are being addressed. I detailed a lot of stuff in a somewhat-rambly post just now, so you might want to check that out and see if we can get some help with any of those ideas. I don't know how feasible they are, but I like the idea of organizing any of those thoughts. I linked the CNN report about the bottled water on that entry, and I'm going to link my entry on the community for tsunami relief ideas (tsunamidisaster).

Hope you've had a fantastic 2004, and I hope 2005 is even better!

[Fireworks? Really? Where I live it's just too darn cold out for fireworks.]

Blowing stuff up sounds really appealing right now. Damn, I wish I had some fireworks.

Yes, move on to "Attack of the Clones." After all, the movies I've seen are more important than the ones I haven't seen Ha. Ha.

Drinking is -always- a good thing. Worst case scenario, you try to proof your work the next day and spend a few minutes wondering how you spelled "Trinity" with an "f", three "q"s, and a "z".

(And just in case you're questioning your funny, I read POA m15m to my brother's best friend last time she spent the night, and there were a few moments where she just lost her shit. Also, my brother quotes you at completely random moments. We were just standing in the grocery store today when he suddenly turned to me and went, "I think I saw a porno like this once.")

Well, it was absolutely brilliant, in any case. You always are. No worries. ;) *throws dollar bills at the screen*

Thanks, man. Particularly for the dollar bills. Because... if I don't finish this book, and they come after me to take that advance back, I'm gonna need 'em. ; )

Ignore the niggling writer's doubt. It always shows up just at the brink of your doing something absolutely brilliant--or so I have observed. Just make yourself keep working and you'll plow through to the other side of it.

Happy New Year!

"You" as in the French plural "vous". "One must" and "one should" just sounds overly formal.

Also? You did M15M with much Funny. Remember when you started it was a lark and you were just playing and seeing what goofiness you could conjure. Try to get into that mindset again. I mean, really, what if you never, ever finished? I'm sure there would be some short-term consequences, but it's not like they'd engrave it on your tombstone or anything. What the hell, you can always join the Witness Protection Program.

I'm watching King Arthur while reading along on the M15M thereof. Of course, I have to read veeeerrry slooooowly, but whatever.

For the record, it's the only thing making this trainwreck worth watching. Thank you.

Hi. I know you don't know me at all, but I see you're a big Phantom fan. So am I, and I just saw it. I'm guessing you've seen it too. In the 1919 parts, who's the guy in the wheelchair? My family is arguing about it. I'm thinking you'd know since you're wise or whatever.
