This sounds fun:

if bush wins, i will ____________________.
if kerry wins, i will ____________________.

([livejournal.com profile] lykaios, the meme originator? Will capitalize.)

If Bush wins, I will bitch about it every single day of his second term. That's not a promise, that's just a fact. Like, we'll be into 2006 and I'll still be ending entries with "P.S. I still hate Bush."*

If Kerry wins--man. I gotta think of something really good for this. Like, I gotta tempt fate so that he might actually win in the weird superstitious cosmology of my mind where random things I do affect world events. Don't lie, you do it too. So... If Kerry wins... I'll post a substantial excerpt from the Fifteen Minutes book on Inauguration Day. Because, seriously, I am not assuming that I will have finished the book before then someone wouldn't have assassinated him by then.

*Actual P.S.: Sister Girl's best friend thinks that Bush "is hot." I am not kidding you. She's twenty years old and she means it. Hot as in "physically attractive." I went into a "Bitch, are you for real?" tailspin after she declared this that lasted something like two whole days.

I love your icon in connection with this post, because I'm imagining Bush and Kerry as sorcerers...

If bush wins I will cry for a week and then proceed to drink myself to death. Or close too it.

If Kerry wins... I will be momentarily happy and do a victory dance. And then I'll worry about if he'll turn into some wussy and cop-out on all the important shit.

a. I will go about my life as usual.
b. I will go about my life as usual.

As for all the wild promises people make... well, here it is 4 years later, and we're still waiting for Alec Baldwin and Barbara Streisand to leave the country.

I've got a van, a Pool Cue of Justice, and an intervention team ready to go.

Just say the word.

I love reading your journal and have been doing so for a long time, but this is the first time I've commented (I think), but I just felt compelled to.

Heh. I love how I'm probably the only conservative here (probably one of the few conservatives under 20). So I will refrain from really saying anything due to subsequent lynching that will occur.

Anyway point of this comment : Wow. Wait. I guess there really wasn't one. I should get back to my procrastinating on history homework.

bush win: i will be super-volunteer at mass naral (http://www.massnaral.org) and planned parenthood, and work on causes related to the separation of church and state.

kerry win: i will keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't go all soft on the social promises he made. i will also shoot one of the super-ambitious scenes from my film the weekend after his inauguration. (keeping with your murphy's law theme...)

Honestly? I'm a social liberal and a financial conservative and grew up in a Republican family (in a very Republican state). I just have a personal hatred of Bush that transcends all party lines.

I love how Bush has the ability to bring people together... against him. THAT's why he said he was "a uniter, not a divider."

So, fell free to flame, but I can kind of*mumble*see how sister girl's friend could think monkey man might have been slighty attractive at one point in time (note the tense) if he didn't look so much like a monkey.

And Bush is SO not socially liberal OR financially conservative. At this point, I'd take one or the other. Honestly. Pfft.

If Bush wins there will be alcohol involved. If Kerry wins, there might also be alcohol involved, yet in a totally different manner. *note to self - buy alcohol before next week.*

hear, hear!

i think conservatives would get more respect if they hadn't played into the hands of the religious right so frequently. i find it easier to have a conversation with someone when they aren't all "look, we don't need to argue this. we have JESUS on our side!"

Regarding Bush

If Bush wins, I will go on with life as usual, while making a note to remind myself NOT to go to America any time in the near future.

If Kerry wins, I might be out of a job. But it will be worth it. :D
