Well, that was an interesting show tonight. Colin is a psychopath, and the fact that he refused to pay a cab driver $100--for a two-hour journey, on which they had agreed up front--because he didn’t get there first the way he wanted (flat tire, “driving on a donut,” blah blah blah), and refused to pay for so long that losing the race actually became a concern and, in fact, got taken to the local JAIL, and then Christie apologized to HIM? Tells me that Christie has got to have a bit of the old Stockholm syndrome going. Because damn. Psycho. Path.

(I heart Chip and Kim. Please adopt me kthnx.)

flo was insane, but colin is much worse than she ever was.

and yet he and christie somehow manage to check in first again. and win another trip. i know people get funny in stressful situations, but she needs to break up with him as soon as this show is over. good grief.

OMG I could have SLAPPED her for that! She had perfectly good points and he was flipping out on her for no reason! If I'd been her I would have gone to the desk, changed our flight the third one, and then done all I could to screw his chances for the million. Yeah I would have lost too but the satisfaction of seeing him lose would have been worth it!

Y'know, I don't think I've ever used the word in this context, but I felt like yelling "What a TOOL! What is your basic malfunction?" at Colin. He seriously needs a big ole shot of boot-up-the-ass to knock him down a few notches. Sheesh. I really hate that Christie takes his shite. She did snap at him when catching that one cab, so that was a step in the right direction.

And I agree with Kami/Karli when she was upset at the other Kami/Karli for not stopping when they saw the flag at the jump place. IT'S A RACE PEOPLE! It's not "follow those people because OF COURSE they for sure know where they're going and playing catch up in a footrace is a good idea when a forty-five minute lead is at stake." Gracious sakes alive.

Holy cow that was a great final sequence. Now that's a race. I wanna skydive!!

Colin's been on the entertaining side of insane for most of the race, but tonight he crossed the line into Psychoville. Watching him yell at Christie in the airport made me really uncomfortable. And then when she apologized, I cringed. 'Stockholm syndrome' is the perfect description. Either she's too dumb to see that he's crazy, or she's just gotten used to it.

You are so correct about that, it's not even funny. I think Colin singlehandedly set back US-Tanzania relations by fifty years. I think their first-place win should have been denied because of first-rate assholedness.

But I just say that because I too want Chip and Kim to kick ass and win the game. Chip rox. Twins sux.

Chip and Kim are cool. I love how they keep their heads through everything, never mind if they're in last place or whatever -- though Kim was right about the over-generous tipping (I mean, whoa, 20 USD? Meep.) I hope they win. Or at least, make it over the finish line ahead of Colin and Christie.

Now, Colin...ye gods. Christie should get rid of him the moment they cross the finish line, because any man who would risk getting into trouble with THE POLICE in a FOREIGN COUNTRY (though the Amazing Race site says there are safety teams tailing every pair of racers, so there would prolly be intervention before it got too bad)!!!! Could you just hear her voice quavering while she was telling him to just give over the money? Though she gave him a kiss in Dubai. Ergh.

This is getting to be hair-raising. Fun, too!

Exactly! The best possible finale would me Colin and Christie at the final pit stop about to step on the black square thing. They slow down and start walking because they get cocky, so Chip and Kim appear out of nowhere, shove their dysfunctional asses out of the way, and win the million bucks. Wow. Then Colin gets all pissed and tries to attack Phil, but security surrounds him and Phil says in that lovely British accent, "Colin & Christie, you both are crazy sons of bitches. go to hell."

I was wondering...

How the HELL do they always manage to get to the pit stop first?

Abused women often apologize to their abuser for "making him get mad." He may not be hitting her (yet) but that poor girl is definitely in an abusive relationship. Hopefully her friends and family will see that and take steps to help her.

Oh, well! You seem pretty busy as it is. There's just too much stuff aching to be parodied, and that's not even counting country-western lyrics. :p I suppose CW lyrics do a good job of parodying themselves, anyway.

Grrr, I missed the episode and was so mad. But on the website I got to read all about crazy Colin, and heard Chip saying in one of the video clips how Colin was getting mommied by Christie and that's why he's psycho. Of course I'm rooting for Chip n' Kim cuz they're so nice. I'm also rooting for the Christian couple though cuz I am christian, so its cool like that.
