Interesting morphing of 'meme' as an adjective.

I couldn't help looking up the definition of meme, bein' attracted to the etymology of words. I'm soft-headed that way. From Webster's Online (http://www.webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=meme):

Main Entry: meme
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): -s
Etymology: alteration of mimeme, from mim- (as in mimesis) + -eme
: an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture

It's interesting to note that 'meme' is an alteration of 'mimeme', which could hypothetically be shortened to 'mime', instead. :)

Only I don't think many people would talk about mimes much. :p
