Hi. I have the bestest publisher ever:

Don't rush it though - if you end up feeling that you need a bit more time, just let me know. I'd rather have a book you were completely happy with a bit late rather than one you had some niggling concerns about bang on time.

Yay! I mean, I want to get as much done before my Milton class starts, but the Digest is suffering badly and I'd really rather not shut it down for a total of four months entirely. The whole "Fifty-five days and counting until deadline" thing was starting to freak me out, and I feel better already for having taken a break, read a book (even a book that pissed me off), had a swim, etc.

To clarify: I wholeheartedly recommend the first 828 pages of The Crimson Petal and the White. If you can live with the book not having an ending, knock yourself out. Particularly if you're interested in the Victorian era, because the level of detail is amazing.

I think I'm going to go swim now. Whee!

Good for you!

It's always interesting when people use the word "niggling." Primarily because of the overly aware political correct society we live in, it does after all sound like other naughty words that start with "N."

Though more interesting than the use of the word "niggling" -- which is Triple Word Score quality, anyway -- is when people mistake the word or don't know the word and pop into teh_racial_rage.

Comedy, abound.

Dear Publisher, be nice to me.
PlzKthx,
LMS

What wonderful language! I wish I talked like that.

I heart your publisher. Mine just sent me the final line edit six days before the ebook is released. AAAACK.

Smut! :)

Specifically, an erotic vampire mystery titled "Nocturnal Urges," due out in ebook format from Ellora's Cave Publishing on Wednesday. :) What, me nervous?

Awww. Remind me on Wednesday when it comes out--I'm serious, because I'm a total space cadet and I'll forget--and I'll mention it on the journal and the weblog. :)

Yay! I'm glad you're not stressed that much anymore. Your publisher sounds awesome :D

Guess I'll have to add that book to my 'to-read' list. I handled the no-ending of 'Just Ella' pretty well, so hopefully I can handle this one...

Yep yep...that's an awesome book. And you're right, it just sorta....ends :) Read on the IMDB, though it was old news, that a studio optioned this and Kirsten Dunst was signed on for Sugar. Yeuch....

I've had that book sitting there for months and haven't done a damn thing about reading it. I'm guessing I should get on that.

Have you seen "The Village" yet? You need to. It's just begging for a m15m spot. Begging, I tell you.

I know. Tons of people have told me that. I'm still not sure I have time to do any parodies that aren't for the book, though.

That's a good point. Now's probably not a great time to mention extra stuff on top of book work.
