*Sigh* The English Patient is one of my favorite movies. It's an amazing book, as well. Even better than the movie, of course the book doesn't allow you to look at Ralph... and Colin Firth.
I also tend to think of him in Red Dragon. Am I the only on who thinks that movie is hilarious? And of course Schindler's List... what an amazing actor. He's a little young for Voldy I think, so I can't wait to see the make up they do on him.
I'm curious to see the tricks they use to make him all evil-looking. He can kinda pull off the scary kinda look, but I bet they can make him look wicked.
Miranda Richardson looks like I imagine Rita Skeeter looking. Just get her some glittery Lisa Loeb glasses and ridiculous nails and she's IT.
Okay, this is probably because I'd seen the Republican's for Voldemort sticker recently, but my first thought when I saw your post was.... Ralph Nader for Voldemort? Uh, okay!
Looks like they're going more for Voldie's charisma than his age. They can make Ralph pretty nasty, I bet. Although at least he doesn't have to gain 50lbs again. Daresay they'll try to make him look thin and... erm... snake-y.
ive been spending too long on certain other forums. i saw the headline and, despite KNOWING that fiennes was up for voldemort, i immediately thought it was a twist on the 'republicans for voldemort' campaign, and that the democrats had finally decided that nader was working for evil.
What I think it's interesting here is that when Thewlis and Oldman were casted and some screamed in horror because "Remus and Sirius were supposed to be hot", there were much mocking of the silly fangirls. After years as a poor, grieving werewolf and as an Azkaban prisoner, they wouldn't look pretty! Fanon made them hot but they are NOT!
Hee. Alas, it was an excellent argument (I used it several times), pity it's going down the drain.
hey! look it's your icon. heh.

And I'm with you - I'm gonna feel dirty going gaga for the baddie. But at least he's legal.
