Ah, yes, I remember reading an LJ news post about this a few weeks ago. Apparently, they found where all the missing comments went and warned that they'd be delivered out to us some time soon.

My favourite bit about the whole thing is the way Yahoo backdates the comments and hides them away, causing me to search through my old emails until I find the newly-delivered comments and mark them as read. Silly old Yahoo...

hey, since you seem to be on top of this phenomenon:
I had no problems but now I am not getting all comments in my email either - have you all contacted LJ already, or do you know anything about what is happening?
Hopefully if you reply to this, I will actually *get* it :)

I can't find the LJ news link, but they discovered that thousands of notifications were somehow going to the wrong server, and it's now spewing out a backlog of emails. Which is why I had 85 comment notices dating from June in my inbox today. Fnarrr.
