Jul. 3rd, 2004 01:14 amOkay, now it's fucking ON.
Totally different plagiarist. I asked him to take "Troy in Fifteen Minutes" down. I left him two comments. He edited my first comment--because I promise you, I never said "I cant [sic] quite remember how I got here but I sure love it!," and I certainly didn't say what comes after.I give you full permission to flame the ever-living fucking hell out of this guy, (eh. He's editing the comments. Don't bother) unless you can think of something better, or you can convince me that, well, he did take it down, after all, so no harm no foul. Except for the masturbation comment. Which is misspelled. AND YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT ORTHOGRAPHY.
Warning: He's already changed the first flame into "Dude! You are so cool!" I don't know that it's going to do any good. Looks like I'm going to be contacting Movable Type the guy's ISP.

Date: 2004-07-02 11:42 pm (UTC)You know what I hate? Whenever people gank my origific/poetry/whatnot, they always choose the one piece that I think was a piece of shit. The worst thing on the page. That's what everyone goes for. Worst one was when someone stole one of my poems--a really crappy one--and entered it into a poetry contest. That I was also entering. And won. And I didn't win.
I laughed for days. Once it was all cleared up, they gave me the award anyway, but I almost told 'em to keep it
but there was money involved, and I am a h0r that never turns down a check.no subject

Date: 2004-07-02 11:47 pm (UTC)I read through the rest of his site and the things that he posted about were funny more often than not so I don't even understand why he would just rip your stuff off!
Aren't people still taught way back in third grade, or whenever they do their first book report, that plagiarising is wrong?! Not to mention -- illegal.

And, hey! You can download his Resume (http://www.drunkenmike.com/persnal/resume.html).
That might be useful.
READ THIS FIRST!
Date: 2004-07-03 12:09 am (UTC)If the plaigerist is on a SUBDOMAIN of DrunkenMike (i.e. DM's hosting him), then you can contact DM and ask him to take the Shakes person off his server. I've just given you a whole bunch of contact details.
Write to Michael Ruth (who owns DM), show him proof, and get him to help you. TAKE SCREENCAPTURES. Press "Prt Src" on your keyboard and paste onto something like Photoshop or Paint, then save it. That's your proof.
We're on your side!
