Lazy day
Nothing much to report, except that I got two (small, not Super Secret) packages in the mail today (thank you,
batwrangler and--Margaret? I don't know your username?--!) and I'm feeling a bit sludgy and writer's-blocky. Ah, well.

So... without saying what [it] is, you can imagine what we might do with it.

I got hooked on your Movies in 15 Minutes after someone linked me to PotO in 15 and I can still remember how hard I laughed at the subterranean pony - and I am LOVING Secret Life. Team TLE all the way!

BUM BUM BAAAAAAHM.

BTW, I think you might find this funny: I was talking to a friend yesteday and we ended up talking about fandoms and Harry Potter and Twilight and then my friend says, "Does the name Cleolinda mean anything to you?" and I started screaming. And then she started screaming. And we started talking about how amazing you are. And the Littlest Edward. And Movies in 15 Minutes. AND the Twilight recaps.
We ♥ you. :)

Otoh, obviously the dolls haven't killed you or each other yet, and Giant Edward hasn't eaten you, so that's an obvious bonus :)

Random Twilight Anecdote
With all the non-cannon lulz that are so ingrained in my perception of Twilight, I often forget that it really is a rather...innocent? YA novel.
Tonight, I'm working an event for girl scouts at the local science center, and response to a somewhat "stupid question" (intentionally so) about how to get somewhere on site, I reponded that the use of magic was probably their only option. Then the group's middle aged chaperone mentioned something about dazzling, and all the 10 year old descended into twittering fits of ahhs and giggles...
...and then I showed them my Twilight keychain and became the coolest adult ever.

Glad to hear it escaped the vortex that is my local post office!

(Thank you so much! One of the two smaller things will appear in the next entry, I think. The larger thing will come in soon--I just have to figure out how to set that up.)

I just thought I would come out of lurking and just say that your Secret Life of Dolls is absolute <3 and it never fails to brighten up any day:D
Lemme show you guys what a Crazy Doll Lady really looks like
This woman's had an Edward action-figure that has his own blog for a while. She refers to him as pocket-Edward. And yet, she's the like the Anti-Cleo. So crazy. (Shall I start with the dizzying background, hm? Her adamant stance that the character of Edward Cullen is not abusive, or a stalker? And that, even if he were, who wouldn't want to be stalked by that (?!))

Strangely, my real name is also Lauren.

The Pocket-Edward blog could pretty much be summed up as: unironic Twilight fan takes her Edward doll everywhere and takes each possible opportunity to point out she has a husband.
The Edward doll is less of a character, and more of a totem.
Re: Lemme show you guys what a Crazy Doll Lady really looks like
I don't have a husband and I don't take TLE anywhere at all, so... this is pretty much more evidence that I might be her anti-matter.
Re: Lemme show you guys what a Crazy Doll Lady really looks like
Also, she vehemently insists in the first post there (about why she'll defend Edward to the end) that he isn't abusive and isn't a stalker. On abusive...well, okay. I could argue that a lot of his protectiveness goes way over the line into borderline-abusive possessiveness, but whatever.
But him not being a stalker? Even Edward calls himself a stalker. Her whole long paragraph there basically just says "He's not a stalker. Because he's not, and also because he's Edward Cullen and therefore who wouldn't want him climbing into her room to watch her sleep?" *raises hand* Me. I wouldn't.
Pay attention, kids: it's not stalking if the stalker is hot.

Re: Lemme show you guys what a Crazy Doll Lady really looks like
I had a girl in my theatre group actually tell me that. (Exact words: "If he was as hot as Edward Cullen, I wouldn't care if he climbed through my window!")
I died a little that day.

I'm not involved in this, but I thought it's hilarious ... and maybe you'd want to spread the word.
