For reasons I'll have to get to later, I'm not able to recap Days today. I'm going to try to catch the rerun on SoapNet later tonight.

In the meantime, I have tons of work to get to--so much I'm not sure what to do first. But I thought I'd go ahead and ask--just to see what y'all are interested in, what movies would you be interested in seeing on Movies in Fifteen Minutes? You can go back to, let's say, 1990, and it needs to be a fairly big/popular movie. (I may ask about older or smaller movies later, but for right now, let's just focus on those parameters.)

So, to repeat: Big movies back to 1990. Not necessarily action blockbusters. Go.

ETA: Best Picture winners back to 1990: Dances with Wolves, Silence of the Lambs (companion to Hannibal in Fifteen Minutes?), Unforgiven, Schindler's List (not touching that one with a million-dollar ten-foot pole), Forrest Gump, Braveheart, The English Patient, Titanic, Shakespeare in Love, American Beauty, Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, Chicago, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

How about Titanic? *eeevil giggle*

Armagodawful. There's just so much to mock!

Independence Day. I know you said "not necessarily action blockbusters,* but again, there's just sooooo much to mock.

Do you think LOTR's already been done to death by [livejournal.com profile] mollyringwraith and others?

Oh goodie!

Independence Day

Count of Monte Cristo

Scream

Blair Witch 2

X-Men/X-Men 2

Godzilla

I'm sure I'll think of others. But the Van Helsing recap was absolutely one of the funniest things I've ever read (I haven't seen the movies the others are based on yet). Thanks for making it.

...especially ones like Armageddon or Independence Day. Or Star Wars Episode I or II.

Then again, watching you rip apart any Tom Cruise movie would probably also satisfy me a great deal. Say, A Few Good Men. Oh yeah.

As I said before - you have to do the last two Star Wars movies ;-)

What about Gladiator - would be a nice companion piece to Troy.....

The Matrix Trilogy - even though the last two are probably beyond parody......

See, that's what I'm afraid of--I'm afraid that between [livejournal.com profile] mollyringwraith and the Very Secret Diaries there isn't much left to say. Not to mention countless other parodies...

Tarantino?

As much as I love Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, it'd be interesting to see what you can come up with for either of those.

Mmm, as much as I agree with Kill Bill, I'm surprised that no one has said Pirates. So much could be done.

(1) the silence of the lambs (goes well with the hannibal one)

(2) seven

(3) terminator 2

(4) dances with wolves

(5) schindler's list. you know you want the challenge... ;)

all this has made me want to dig out my old piece saving private cartman...

I'd vote for Four Weddings And A Funeral, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Gladiator, and Titanic.

I think Crouching Tiger would be the best one to do (it's so serious!)

(also, I had to restrain my self from shouting "Hi Boromir!", "Unleash the flaming balls of twine" and "STELLLAAAA" at the screen when I went to see Troy *g*)

Would it be horribly irreverent and send me to hell if I wanted a recap of The Passion? Well, I do. But that's shaky territory for those who aren't me. (Didn't see it, but would love a recap).

The Usual Suspects, though.
