ETA: In defense of Silk and Steel. In other words, an intentional burst of badfic?

I'm willing to believe it could be intentional badfic, and yet--I still feel like it needs editing of some kind to get that across. It seems more indulgent in its current form than satirical, although I am vastly relieved that it's supposed to be.
