You've never come across as fishing. Honestly, your posts and TSLD are a breath of fresh air and I, and a lot of other people, enjoy them a great deal.
I think you were just the recipient of a spontaneous moment of generosity on the part of one of your readers. One of those things we like to encourage in life. After all, you put your time and effort into entertaining us, right? It looks like someone wanted to return the gesture.
But no, you've never come across as begging.
LOL maybe you should start a charity - you know, like, "if you ever want to send me something make a donation to X instead." Just saying. :p
