Soon to be seen in The Lovely Bones if Peter Jackson can ever get his shit together! Susan! Sarandon! She wastes no time, because Kate Winslet took all of it:

BEST DRAMATIC ACTOR

Leonardo DiCaprio, "Revolutionary Road"
Frank Langella, "Frost/Nixon"
Sean Penn, "Milk"
Brad Pitt, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"
Mickey Rourke, "The Wrestler"

Mickey Rourke wins, and I swear to you, this GIANT WHOOP just LEAPS UP. Drunken standing ovation! He tries to talk and there's about thirty seconds of "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" from the crowd. FINALLY THE BOOZE HAS KICKED IN. "I'm not really a public speaker. I was kinda hopin' Robert Downey would come up and talk for me." Hey, I could live with that. He thanks his agent David Unger for "havin' the balls" to rediscover and represent him, and Unger's boss for "not puttin' him back in the mailroom." Darren Aronofsky is "one of those cats" and "one tough son of a bitch," and everyone at Aronofsky's table laughs, including Aronofsky, because God bless him, he looks like the nerdy kid who--wait, Axl Rose helped fund this movie? I... I can kind of see it, actually. (Dammit, I missed Aronofsky flipping Rourke off!) And then Mickey Rourke thanks all his dogs. The ones who are here, the ones who aren't here anymore, they meant to the world to him. This man is a country song waiting to be written down, I am telling you. It is magnificent.

ONE MORE! OOOONE MORRRRRE. TOMMMMMM CRUUUUUUISE.

BEST MOTION PICTURE, DRAMA

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"
"Frost/Nixon"
"The Reader"
"Revolutionary Road"
"Slumdog Millionaire"

GIGANTIC CHEER for Slumdog Millionaire, which wins. Hello to Mumbai! The movie will be opening in India on Thursday, "and that's going to be some party, I think." And there you are.

I love that Darren Aronofsky gave Mickey Rourke the finger. That was awesome.

Don't forget the part where Aronofsky flips off Mickey Rourke for mentioning his awesomeness.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE FTW. LITERALLY.

Yay, Slumdog! And I would kill to be at that party in Mumbai. My Indian friend's graduation party was crazy enough; I'd love to see what a real Indian party is like.

This man is a country song waiting to be written down, I am telling you. It is magnificent.

Hahaha. Also, did he kind of trip going on stage? Or did I imagine that?

What went on there? I was glancing at my computer for a second and my mom was like "whoa, that just happened!"

I'm gonna cry because Leo and RR didn't win.

He said Aronofsky didn't like it when Rourke called him "tough." Cut to Aronofsky flipping him off.

Standing Ovation to you!

Well done! You are entertaining as always!

I love that Kate could only be one-upped by herself. She is absolutely lovely!

I'm jealous of Indians and their party skills.

I think it was that Axl Rose let them use 'Sweet Child of Mine' in the movie for nothing.

Thank you so much for your live blogs on the GG. I was on the road for the majority of the show, and I'm such an awards show junkie, I was actually disappointed I'd be missing it. But your live blogs make me feel like I didn't miss anything!

Darren Aronofsky flipping Mickey off was pretty hilarious. I hope Mickey keeps on track.

Slumdog Millionaire is showing at one of my city's small theaters. I'm definitely seeing it this week.

Can I join?

I'm already crying happy tears because Kate won for RR and then they turned to sad tears because Leo didn't win. I know he already has one but how awesome would it have been for both Leo and Kate got one for RR?

There's still the Oscars. *prays*

Ah, okay. Celebrities and their quirks, whee! (And by "quirks," I clearly mean "scandalous words and gestures.")

My friend is Nepali and his graduation party was NUTS. They had big screen TVs playing Bollywood music videos and everyone in his family sang and danced for hours. I've never seen anything like it.

*Comforts* It must have been fate that I turned the tv back on just in time for Kate's second speech.

That's the spirit, they will rock the oscars for sure! I'm staying positive.

But RR was a crappy movie. If I want to see a couple bickering for two hours, I'll just watch Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf again. They are at least funny.

This is really why the Golden Globes are better than the Oscars. Although the call of "Marty! Marty!" when Scorcese FINALLY won was a little more genuine.

Considering the self-involved IMPORTANT dreary movies in the Best Picture category, it'd be a horrible thing if Slumdog Millionare lost.

Is that why NBC went to black for a bit? I thought that was just the live feed being crappy.
