That is true...we've had more health issues this year in my family, including a brain tumor and breast cancer, so I'd say appliance failures would be the way to go between the two. Either way though, you're past due for a break. Maybe it's a good sign that as the year is ending, the appliances are getting smaller? A hair dryer is at least more feasibly replaceable. I'll be sending good thoughts your way regarding 2009.
