Ok, I gotta know. Am I the only one who immediately thinks of Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the camera keeps dramatically cutting back and forth between Jane and Rochester before their first meeting? Every time I see it I think of John Cleese dramatically running up to a castle for ten minutes while the guards just stand there. Jane walking! Rochester galloping!
I really love this adaptation, but I can't help laughing at that part.
Also, I third the Toby Stephens Admiration. Indeed.
