I thought so at first, but now I'm not so sure (the book's called Being Elizabeth Bennett in the UK, so it's weird that itv would go with the US title.) - there's nothing in any of the press releases that mentions it, plus the series seems to be only about P&P.
I was mad about the Mr. Tinley thing too. He's the best one! The ending where everyone gets shot cracks me up, though. And the locked-in-an-attic bit.
