Oh, well that's handy at least! (And cheaper.) Yeah, scanners can be a bitch to use - my dad's scanner is really weird and you have to go through this odd sequence of stuff to use it. But it's also hooked up to a Mac and isn't originally an Apple product, so that could be part of it. Hopefully yours will be less complicated!
