Guh. Can't. Focus. Fnarrr. Supposed to be. Working. Must write. While I have time.

You know what's really disturbing? How many people in workshop read my Fairwood chapters and then asked if "snickerball" was a real sport. Like, just to be sure.

Hey! I didn't know 3-D Pinball came standard with XP...

Hee, 3-D pinball kicks ass.

Now, now, now with the procrastination...*makes tisk-ing noise* But I know what it feels like when you know you're *supposed* to write and because of that you fall out of the mood. It happens to me all the time.

My personal downfall was Diablo III for the longest time, but of course I went out and bought that. There's something about those spell-casting games that gets me every time...

Neopets. Specifically Neoquest. Now Neoquest II. "Mipsy casts Wall of Slush on her group! Rohane is mesmerized by a rock golem!"

I used to have a Neopet for about two days (I guess he died of starvation.) I specifically got him to research the company, because I applied to work for them--found an online writers' job search engine thing. I'd have gone to California for it. They didn't hire me. I got depressed. Plus the whole electronic-pets-who-nonetheless-were-so-cute-they- made-me-weepy thing was offputting. Of course, I'm the kid whose ballerina jewelry box made her cry as a kid, so go figure.

Actually, they get down to "dying" but they never actually die. Yours is still there, I bet. And don't cry too hard for them--mine actually throw tantrums (http://images.neopets.com/pets/angry/aisha_desert_baby.gif) every now and then if I try to feed them something they don't like.

Seriously, I would move to California to work for these people, too. I started playing about a year after they started up, and I've seen the whole thing explode--their growth rate is astounding, even considering multiple accounts. There's gold in them thar hills, I tell ye.
