I remeber reading that story in school. I think I rather enjoyed it. A gabajillion ways it could be interpeted regarding Lost, though.
Unrelated things: I went through a stretch a few years ago where I fancied myself a writer. My laziness quickly murdered that notion, though. Still, I plan on attempting it one day.
