Okay, that "woman weighing 43 pounds" article is extremely disturbing. (Especially having seen Se7en.)

Speaking of women pirates...*looks shifty* Okay, so first read _Lies of Locke Lamora_ to prepare yourself for _Red Seas Under Red Skies_ which will have one of the most awesome female pirates I have ever read. (I've read a preview of her. She swears and is a single mom of two.)

A small interview about the two books can be seen at http://guipago.livejournal.com/480611.html#cutid1 . Oh and Lies got picked as the Science Fiction/Fantasy Book Club Fantasy Book of the Year.

hey! I know them!

The Shiver people used to have an RPG called Daughter of the Goddess based on a few fabulous series by Tamora Pierce that I was involved with, but it closed down a couple of years ago. They started up Shiver soon after, but due to...animosity...I didn't join.

They can be lots of fun, though. *huggles OTP gen*

Cripes, yeah. First thing I thought of when I saw that link. *shudders* That was one of the creepiest parts of that movie in my opinion.
