Poetry Tulip has vanished

I just burst into tears for the stupidest reason ever. I'll just be over here getting a grip on reality, thanks.

(Okay, because you're going to ask: My parents are downstairs watching the Pirates 2 DVD without telling me. No, that's not the problem. The problem is that I was saving that for my birthday next week, which is probably why they didn't tell me. Except that I'm always treated to the soundtrack of whatever they're watching on TV [which usually involves a lot of gunshots and Jack Bauer DAMMIT!ing], so good luck hiding that. Are they watching my copy? I honestly don't know. The appropriate reaction would be more along the lines of an eyeroll and "Oh, my silly mother and her silly Captain Jack obsession," not a sobfest. I think I'm just stressed out from my sister's constant shenanigans, of which there were more this evening.)

On the upside, jstilwe from Snarkfest sent me a bottle of Siren (mmm, Siren) and an imp of Clio (hee), and [livejournal.com profile] tenebris sent me a bottle of Glitter and Dracula samples! And I still managed to burst into tears after this embarrassment of riches, which should tell you how hormonal I must be right now.

Ariz. waitresses dress as naughty nurses. Point the first: "The Heart Attack Grill opened a year ago with a Hooters-like formula of red meat and sexy waitresses. Diners choose from among four cheeseburgers: the Single, Double, Triple and Quadruple Bypass. The Quadruple is a towering monstrosity with four half-pound beef patties, four pieces of cheese and a mound of bacon." Point the second: "'Nurses are the most sexually fantasized-about profession,' said Sandy Summers, executive director of the Center for Nursing Advocacy, based in Baltimore. 'We're asking people, if they're going to have these fantasies, please don't make it so public. Move these sexual fantasies to other professions.'" Point the third: What's really creepy is the guy openly leering in the accompanying picture.

They SO didn't interview me.

They didn't interview my 67 year old mom either.

Personally, if Snipes did even half of what they're saying, I hope he gets sentenced to Azkiban. "Bad tax advice" my sweet ass - where does he get off thinking that he can get away with not paying taxes on the loads of money he makes?

OMG ME TOO W/ TEH CRYING! No seriously. I got some crap e-mail from a professor about my script and it took a long conversation with my mother and a lot of swearing on both of our parts to calm me down. Now I'm listening to happy music and just trying to forget. So, um, care for a tissue? Here, have mine.

{} <-- e-tissue

Speaking of Glitter, I finally ordered an imp of it because you kept raving about it even though i was afraid the pear would turn rotten on my skin.

And you were right. Fantastic scent.

Condoms designed to meet international size specifications are too big for many Indian men as their penises fall short of what manufacturers had anticipated

Oh sweet lord, my poor menfolk. *collapses with laughter*

Alan Rickman, Anthony head and Johnny Depp?

Ugh, it always gets me when people watch movies without me when I thought they were going to be sort of "us" things. Like my best friend went and saw Return of the King without me and I got really upset about it because I thought it had been understood that those movies were our thing and we'd see them for the first time together and grab hands and squeal and stuff.

[identity profile] bardintraining.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
^^ My best friend did that with Phantom when it came out on DVD because she works at the video store and gets everything a week ahead of everyone else. We'd made plans and she suddenly changed her mind, apparently. One night, randomly, I call her up and ask what she's up to? "Watching Phantom with my Mum, so I gotta go--" "WHA?"

We're not really friends anymore.

Not soley because of that, but hell, might be a reason.

[identity profile] erinya.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Dunno, I'd be pretty pissed off if my family or friends watched DMC without me while I was in the house. And if I was PMS I'd probably cry, too.

I feel really bad for the Indian guys. :( "Indian men don't measure up"? What kind of a headline is that?

But the crackwhore squirrels made me LOL. I love British journalism.

[identity profile] purpleivey.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo, Colleen Atwood is doing the Sweeney Todd costumes too? I'm not going to be able to get through this movie without dying of bliss.

The Crack Squirrels of Brixton is an old story, but a beautiful and amazing one

[identity profile] dramedy.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
My dad loves Jose Uribe, he was really sad when he found out.

The story Dad told me that Jose came up in the minors under the name Jose Gonzalez. He played for one team, and then was traded under the common ephitat "Player to Be Named later" to the Giants. Well, right before he was traded, he changed his name to Jose Uribe. So he really was a player that was named later.

...crack foxes...hee hee.

[identity profile] hulamoth.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
so when you mentioned Connie Nielsen I so totally thought of Carrie Fisher and was like, "Huh? Princess Leia's into Metallica?"

yeah.

[identity profile] chocolat-violet.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Cleo, I can't believe your mother would do that to you. She could have at least told you they were watching it, and then you could have blasted music or taken a very long shower, or have done something to drown out the "BLOODY PIRATES!" that come up at least every half-hour.

[identity profile] dreamingreader.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
There's something tragic in hearing that Poetry Tulip has vanished. What a great name!

[identity profile] mamapduck.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
There are those days when everything is wonderful. When life is perfect and nothing at all is wrong and I still can't stop crying. I'm sorry you're sad. There's not much more to be said, but I hope it gets better soon.

I am inexplicably mesmerized by Chow Yun Fat's nails in that picture.

[identity profile] word-herder.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Does anyone know why they're dressed in rather Chinese-looking apparel? I'm dying of curiosity.

(I've cried over much more trivial things, so I completely understand. Sometimes the only thing you can do is ride it out and hold onto the knowledge that it will be better in a little while. Hang in there.)

[identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Apparently they run into Chinese (?) pirates, hence Chow Yun Fat. I think Elizabeth has a run-in with them at some point (a kidnapping?), hence the outfit.

You are totally entitled to cry over that. Hormones or not, sometimes people don't realize how important something is to you, and that can really ruin it.

I consider movies to be very sacred. My sister and I have a system as we no longer live together wherein we must contact one another if we're going to watch a film we think the other might have a problem with us seeing without them. Whenever my mom watches something without me that I really wanted to see with her I go completely crazy, and into uber-pouty mode...it's just one of those things that totally presses all the wrong buttons for me, so I totally know how you feel.

And I've blabbered on long enough...

Cheers!

[identity profile] derangeddarling.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
I've had Days Like That too. Is it maybe medication related? Didn't you recently make a change?

The movie thing is understandable, though. I got really upset when my friends went to see The Lakehouse without me. We went and it was sold out so we made plans to go another time...and then they went without me...

I also cry really easily. >.< Hope you start feeling better, though!

Where'd the presents come from? They're what again, lipglosses?

P.S. I LOVE Kiera in her Asian outfit. Hot. And I don't even normally think Kiera is pretty! (Though I do like her as an actress. Once I got over my Orlando related jealousy.)

Also. She was interviewed for something about facebook back when it went stalker-ish. I'm really tempted to take a class by her, just to see what makes her so great.

I know I laughed pretty good.
