I took classes at Harvard for writing, and what you've said here is so plain and easy to understand I seriously wish this was around when I was in class!
I just let words flow when I'm writing, I don't care about spelling or proper sentance use, sometimes not even punuation, all I care about is getting what's in my head out. Once I've got it down, I go back and add what I need to, change what I need to and let spell check do its thing. I love spell check. Best. Invention. Ever.
I have a real problem finishing stories, not because I get stalled or blocked, but I get distracted by new ideas and can't just go and scribble down the new idea and things for it then come back to the other story (sometimes I do, most of the time I don't), I start writing the new story and after awhile I completely forget where I was going with the old story! Drives me absolutely bananas!
Can't wait for your suggestions on mid-story stallings! ♥
