My mum realized today that the Amish shooter was my third cousin's brother-in-law. He was at the wedding when my third cousin married his brother, and I'm pretty sure I met him and his three kids. My heart breaks when I think about his children and wife, as well as the Amish schoolchildren. The Amish community is just so peaceful and well-meaning, there was no reason for any of this suffering to be brought upon them.
