exactly. I used to go to Silver Platters and drool over the laserdiscs all the time, but when the movies I wanted all ran about $90, there was just no way.
(The irony of the whole thing: Silver Platters now sells CDs, DVDs, and -- wait for it -- vinyl. Platters, yes. Silver, not so much. :)
Speaking of $90 movies, though -- remember the good old days (cough, cough, HACK) of rental-priced videotapes? Oh, boy, am I glad THAT'S over with.
