Just something I've been thinking about, since you wrote about yer stomach problems, and yer "adult cereal." I have stomach acid problems [300mg of Zantac a day =( ], and recently the acid got a LOT worse. I'd lay down and it was like a volcano in my stomach. Or there would be a burning-but-stabbing pain in a part of my stomach. I finally traced it back to, get this, granola bars. I'd been eating the chewy granola with yogurt coating bars for breakfast and lunch (attempt to lose weight while upping calcium and fiber), and evidentally my tummy strongly objected.
So it's possible that those harder, slower-digested cereals are what caused it. I'm not sure why this is, but if my doctor has some insight, I'll be happy to share it if you'd like.
Just my two-cents, after a fair bit of thought.
