Get sister-girl to make bread pudding with the leftover bread. And if it's an herb-y kind of bread, for some reason I thought of experimenting with making a kind of savoury French toast. Which...sounds gross now that I've put it into words. French toast has no reason to live unless it is covered with melted butter, sugar and copious amounts of syrup. Huh. In any case, I feel like trying to make bread pudding now. http://bread.allrecipes.com/az/BreadPuddingII.asp
Or you could freeze it for later or go feed the birds or something. I once saw an entire bagel disappear in one gulp on account of a massive and agressive seagull. You could also make homemade croutons if you have a lot of bread going stale.
Good luck with everything, and I hope your stomach's in better form today.
