Isn't it? Did it remind anyonne else of Phantom of the Opera, or is it just me? But yes, OMFG V FOR VENDETTA SO GOOD MOVIEGASM!

I thought it was really entertaining, and Natalie is awesome, but did you feel at all like the political propaganda was a bit heavy handed? Maybe it's just me. I'm glad you finally got to see it!

Dude, it was totally Phantom of the Opera x 1984 + Matrix knives.

Meh. I'll wait to rent it. But it's always good to know when you like a movie; you're one of the few people online whose opinions I trust movie-wise.

Well, I mean... I kind of figured that was the nature of the movie. Although it is a little more pointed in terms of current politics, whereas Moore's book was, naturally, more of the moment (Thatcher's Britain) that he wrote it in.

So what you're saying is that it is PURE GENIUS AND I MUST GO SEE IT IMMEDIATELY?

I'm not saying it's a perfect movie, but it hit all the things that I like, I think, and I'm willing to forgive a lot. Like, the fact that the henchmen all went "UHHH" in super-bass slo-mo when killed made me love the movie more rather than less. I also watch Van Helsing for fun, so you have to take my opinion with a grain of salt. : )

I CONCUR.

Seriously. Loved almost every bit of it, and the parts I didn't love I could totally understand why they did it.

I am not sad that I spent the money to see this one on the big screen, also. EXPLODING PARLIAMENT, TWENTY FEET HIGH!

So, so glad you finally got to see it -- our long national nightmare is over!

But really, lose the speech with the 55 v-words at the beginning, the kiss, and you've got my favorite movie evar. And more Stephen Fry and Yakety Sax, kplzthx.

Bizarre...I actively dislike all of those things, and let liked V for Vendetta. Odd.

You will also notice that the Mercury retrograde ended this weekend. Coincidence? V would say not.

I'm just glad we finally got nice weather. It's supposed to hit 70 on Friday here, and we've had cloudless sunny days for most of the past week, with corresponding improvements to my mood.
