Once again: dinner break.

Much, much better--coughing a little, but I seem to have dodged the Endless Cough entirely (knock on wood). Still kind of weak and easily tired, and the damage is basically done: I lost nearly a week of work time right before deadline. Not entirely, because I was definitely at my desk for most of it, but... it's not really quality time when mucus is your copilot.

Gladiator is so very nearly done, but I'm stalling on a few scenes near the end--I always do this, dammit--and so I'm moving on for the moment. Maybe inspiration'll come to me in my sleep, I don't know. Still, it's just as unfinished if I work on something else or not, so I might as well be productive. I'm looking over my notes and drafts, though, and I don't know whether to work on Independence Day or Spider-Man next.

Independence Day! Cigars, Will Smith, Bill Pullman, cheesey snark everywhere. Good times.

And I see from your music that you've hit [livejournal.com profile] audiography, haven't you? Good song.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, at least. Mucus is one of the lead causes of creativity loss. Unfortunately, the Cough of Doom has decided to set in with me today. Too bad I'm supposed to sing tomorrow.

I hope you feel even better very soon!!! <3

Actually, I've had this mp3 a while, but yeah, I was just by downloading something else. Maybe that was what prompted it. : )

*waves shyly* First time commentor, here. Love your parodies.

I say Independence Day, especially if you snark on Will Smith a bit.

Independence day will probaby be both easier and more fun. I'm just imagining making things up for the aliens to say, for example.

If you're feeling the need for an easy and fun one, then, I'd say go ID4. Otherwise, Spidey, and save ID4 for after something really difficult.

Awww, hi!

I'm thinking I may do Independence Day too, if only because I'm plotting a slightly different format that might make a quicker--and funnier--job of it.

I vote Spidey, because you sound like you need something short, sweet, and simple but rediculously easy and fun to mock. God knows how much I've MST3K'd those movies.

I think reading your LJ has made my body think that I am sick. Which I now am. Thanks alot, Cleo.

If you say 'phlegm' it sounds even yuckier.

Which is why I could never eat at the local Fleming's Diner. Best wishes for a full recovery!

That's the best song on that CD, IMHO. The bodhran makes me think of feet running through the forest (attached to the proper number of people, naturally--just feet would be really strange), so I have to get up and dance around for a bit. Great energy booster for me; here's hoping it works for you.

Independance Day. It practically parodies itself.

*cries* What's with the Independence Day-bashing? I loved that movie!

I'm gonna head out before the angry mobs arrive.

Oh, and when the book comes out, is it going to be available in Britain?

Please don't think me stalker-some, but I looked back at your journal, and you've been sick for a really long time. That is worrisome. Sorry, but people being sick and still trying to cohabitate in society makes me sad. On a brighter note, the icons are supergreat, as is your m15m work. Maybe a pep talk helps? I don't know.

Glad you're feeling better now - though you seem to have tossed the Cough of Doom this side of the pond. More specifically... *coughs heavily*

I'm highly biased towards Spidey because, well, it *is* an infinitely better movie, isn't it? On a more selfless note, why not save ID4 for when you *really* need something easier, as suggested above?

Hey, the publishing house IS British. I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem laying hold of it.

Really? I think I've only had this particular cold since last Tuesday or so. It seems to have whipped through my system pretty quickly--we went all the way from "coming down with the sniffles" to "almost completely over the cough" in seven days. Granted, my constant mucus reports may make it sound like it's been longer. ; )

Sorry, but people being sick and still trying to cohabitate in society makes me sad.

Well, I stayed home from class when I could and kept to my room as much as possible. And then I broke out the antibacterial hand gel. I did what I could.

Because I have about (checks watch) four days to finish the whole lot. There's not much of a "saving it for later" thing going on here.

(Yikes! Sorry about that cough. Get some zinc tablets, that seems to have helped me a lot.)

Glad things are looking up. When I have too much mucus, I just say to myself, "Snot my fault."

(I sent you another email just now. Are you getting mine? I sent you a response to the 'test' email from Saturday.)

Both, actually. When you hear the little "voice in your head," you sub-vocalize, meaning that you actually move your vocal chords around slightly. Just recently some people figured out a way to capture the movements and actually record someone's stream of consciousness. Freaky possibilities include talking silently on your cellphone, and controlling gadgets "with your mind" (actually with your voice, but the effect would be like mindreading).
