Quick linkage:

No fear: Snarkfest is coming back.

I don't know what this is, except something new for people to fight over ("Give brownie points to your LJ friends!"). Awesome.

My LiveBrownie status!

Mmm, breakfast.

no way, was this first comment?

So...what do they....do? Do you win prizes?

[identity profile] lyrainverse.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank God about Snarkfest. I got the bandwidth message yesterday and I could almost hear the internets screaming. I blame you for this new addiction, Cleo. I got the link from your LJ. My wasted productivity is on YOUR HANDS! I hope you can live with yourself.

Those brownies look oddly like ice cubes.

Thanks for the Snarkfest info. I was worried that I was going to have to start being productive at work. Eek.

Brownie points! That makes LJ like High School, except with a scoreboard!

I'm sure we could've all used a scoreboard in HS so's we'd've known whom to hate. ;) Instead, of course, of just hating everyone or nearly. :p

Yarha, Angst Thy Name is LJ

There is an inherent problem with Snarkfest.

There is no Jake Gyllenhaal thread. This seems to be an oversight :p

OMG you're like coming sixth, and I'm not even on there... that is so SCREWED UP! I am TOTALLY the coolest person on Live Journal, I should SO be there... OMG, LEIK this is teh suckage.

wow... I had no idea what this was... but I still wen through and followed all the instructions, like the good little sheep that I am. And When it came out at the end... I still didn't know what it meant. According to who? who thinks that someone is cooler than most? and why isn't anyone voting for me? hahaha.

You're Fifth at the moment. *nod*

[identity profile] ambiguousreason.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, now I get that brownie points thing. Except I can't give you any, because it only lets you give points to people who have you as a friend, not the other way around.

I had cold pizza for breakfast and it was gooood.

[identity profile] sydelbow.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
You are currently the 3rd most popular and loved LJer. ;)

*collapses with relief* SNARKFEST. Oh, how I missed it. *clings to forum, getting sticky chocolate fingers on it*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/lorien__/ 2005-03-28 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
aawww can't give you brownie points... only for people who got me in their list... *cry*

*goes and gives the squishy brownie points... ;)*

L.

Trustworthy? What does that even mean? Do LJ friends lend each other money? Is there some kind of Livejournal espionage ring, with more backstabbing then you can shake a meme at?

brownie points

[identity profile] wintersweet.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
It looks like they copied the concept and symbols from orkut.com ...

[identity profile] paulgregory.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems inspired by Orkut, indeed the graphics may even be ripped off from there. But as it is possible to just keep "logging in" as your friends and rating yourself highly, it lacks the security required for it to be as good.

Full points to Cleo. (Although I really wanted a "not applicable" button for hotness. What does it matter how hot someone is online? That's the best thing about computers-- they equalize those things. In the end, I decided to rate Galadriel. She got a perfect score, even though I prefer brunettes.)

Don't worry
