Anyway, the part where Charlie's splitting stuff open on a stick? I'm pretty sure (although I could be wrong...we don't have tropical fruits here in the cold north) that they were coconuts, coz coconuts have this hard green outer thing that looks melon-like around the inner nutshell and meat. And that's how you open the outer thing...with a sharp stick and much prying and slamming.
