I grew up with the British TV version of the series and I am somewhat leery of this version of the story. I am particularly worried about what Marvin is going to be like. So far he lookes like a Lego toy or the cartoon robot from Cartoon Network's Tsunami.

Still, I'll go see it. We are talking about a great piece of modern Western Culture, hehe!! Now, I wonder what the likelihood of converting the Dirk Gently books to the screen are?

am i the only one who was not disappointed with mos def as ford? i really like the guy.

I was not disappointed at all. I actually think he fits well with my 'mental' Ford. Plus, I like pretty much everything I've seen him in, so I was quite satisfied with the casting.
