OH SHIT I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE SAGS STUPID TITANIC.

ETA: Well, not stupid Titanic--I actually got some good work done on the first six pages, and the show looks really boring. I just hate looking up in the middle of something and realizing that I missed something else.

And yay Cate!

ETA 2: You know, maybe I'm depressed because I'm having to watch FREAKIN' TITANIC on an endless loop. And I don't mean that in a snarky way--in all seriousness, I am listening to people wail and scream and pray and die for two hours, over and over and over again. I have got to get through this so I can go back to laughing my ass off at Star Wars.

Heeeeeee. I just posted, "I wonder if Cleo is going to do a SAG recap?"

::smacks self::

All in all, this was one of my favorite award shows lately. Mostly, because it was shorter than others. ;)

Date: 2005-02-06 03:35 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Amen. That's why I was so pissed that I forgot about it--I could have tossed off a two-hour recap no problem, and here I had to go get sucked into people screaming and flailing and drowning for two hours.

Hey, it's being replayed on TNT right now! ;)

No, for real... Titantic baby. Stick with that. It's gonna be the first chapter I turn to when I buy the book.

I have no idea how you can bear to sit through Titanic over and over. Horrid film.

And here's a wee something that should make you grin: The Hopkins Green Frog Mystery might have been solved, but there is still one mystery that remains... (http://www.livejournal.com/users/circe_tigana/667550.html)

Seriously, hanging out in Cleo's LJ is like being at a really nifty night club. You meet the coolest people, there's no cover charge, and it's open 24-7.

Yeah, I'd wager that that's at least partly behind the depression. Lord knows it'd have that effect on me if I watched it on loop. @.x

Titanic is a really long film too, isn't it? Plus, Leo DiCaprio's acting is like a drawn out fart - I really, really don't like him.

However...Star Wars! LOVE IT! Can't wait for the m15m - I can imagine some massive digs at Yoda and Obi-Wan coming up.

Good point, considering that Titanic was once touted on a TV ad here as the movie for which you have to bring a dozen boxes of tissue into the theater. Not happy viewing material. *hugs*

how many movies do you have to finish? and what's the new deadline?

Honestly? I've had the sound muted for days now. I have the subtitles on, and I've been listening to whatever music I wanted on my headphones. I just keep having to turn around to the TV and skip back to whatever scene I now have to watch five times to figure out what I want to say.

I've decided that your alter ego Cleolinda Jones is the daughter of Indiana Jones and Princess Leia.

She was the first Big Female Fictional Character that sprung to mind, since there were no name restrictions. And it kind of fit, cause of the whole Han Solo/Harrison Ford thing, and your doing a SW movie, and "Leia" kind of has the same sound as "Cleo." There might be a better option out there, but Indy is totally the father.

It was either those two, or Tom Jones and Jane Eyre.

Sending a hug ...

Just wanted to send you a virtual hug. I can see you have been down the last couple of days. Wanted to tell you that you are funny and touching and brilliant. (... and as much as my POTO obsession is in full bloom, usually I check your journal first because you make me laugh. You rule over the hotness of GB - how is that for props?) You will be very sucessful writer and you can count on me being one of the first in line to buy your book.

And BTW, I am 37 and Valentine's Day always sucked ... until this year. Good stuff can happen at the oddest times. Cheers, dear.

I don't know that much about him asa person, and I don't know, I have issues believing what I read about famous people, or at least believing it too much, I think we have a tendency to mythologise them and along with mythologising them we highlight and ignore certain aspects of their characters. Perhaps not us as individuals per se but certainly in the information given.

But redardlee, I don't know enough about him, as a person, to hazard an opinion.
