*Hate* those nights. And yeah, they seem to strike a lot near Valentine's Day whether I'm with somebody or not. I think February 14 is secretly a large Magnet for Angsty Depressing Crap.
As for what you're doing-- publishing a book (and from what I've heard, there are *always* setbacks with those; so don't fret about them too much), adding to your already-huge fandom and willing book-buyers online, and making a bunch of other people laugh. Even when they're having depressing-days of their own, which is no small feat. :-)
