So I've gone ahead and put "Phantom of the Opera in Fifteen Minutes" up at
m15m. It was probably one of the quickest 15Ms ever, and lots of fun, and very easy. Back to Attack of the Clones and my Aesthetics of Sentiment reading. (Sigh.) Also, I think I accidentally just posted this over at the comm instead of here. (Double sigh.)
ETA: Oh, for the love of... I keep trying to use Semagic to compose anti-theft and copyright notice stuff to put in, and then I keep posting it by accident, and then I keep trying to pull it back up and delete it or lock it for the moment, and I lock the wrong entry, and... I'm just saying, if weird shit is going on with my journal, it's me being an idiot. I'll be over here headdesking.

I've gotta ask, since the movie theatre in town didn't pick up Phantom and I can't see it until it comes out on DVD: What's with the changing of the chandelier-destruction? It doesn't fall at the end of Il Muto anymore? *is confused*

I kind of understand why they did it, personally--the Buquet murder happens offstage, so to speak, if I recall correctly (read the book, haven't seen the show), so they put the Buquet death where the chandelier should be, and by putting the chandelier at the end of Don Juan, right as the Phantom kidnaps Christine, and having everything catch fire, it's actually this huge dramatic moment that I think would have lost some of its power if it'd been in the middle of the movie. Seriously, there's a few shots in the trailer, I think, of flames blowing out the Opera House windows. It's really cool.

Hmm, I didn't know it wasn't opening everywhere else until the 21st. I'll have to call the theatre and see. I was really looking forward to it, it'll be nice if I don't have to wait until the release of the DVD. :)

You know, I would almost consider this to be a good movie. Not the best I've ever seen, but after reading that you laughed at EVERYTHING I was expecting something like King Arthur. But... I was surprised. Although now that I've read the POTO in 15 minutes I'll probably be crying from laughter the next time I see it.

THE PHANTOM: BE MINE FOREVER AND I WILL CONSUME YOU IN A COMPLETELY NON-FIGURATIVE WAY UNTIL THE BREAK OF DAWN!
[Christine deploys her collapsible bodice, leaving her shoulders completely bare.]
Yep, that sums it up. It's not enough for her to deploy the Cleavage of Doom, she has to have a Collapsible Bodice as well.
Now I shall have to go see it again so I can
lust after the Phantomlaugh at the wonderful awfulness of it. Drat. *grins*no subject
OH...HELL...YES!
Just AMONG my favorite lines....
"RAOUL: ARE YOU IN THERE WITH SOME VAMPIRE?"
"Il Muto seems to be about a giant pink poodle-lady who may or may not be having an affair with a page boy who may or may not be an actual boy, played by an actual girl (Christine)."
"[Suddenly, the lights drop and the music goes evil and the Phantom enters dressed as the Red Death, or the Spanish Inquisition, or something.]
THE PHANTOM: NO ONE EVER EXPECTS ME!"
"CHRISTINE: And if he kidnaps me again, I’m going to be stuck down there forever… getting sexed up until the end of time, or until one of us dies from the massive amounts of constant, 24-7, day-and-night sexing." ...*Ahem*--yes, please.
Great job yet again!! :-)

Although I loved the movie (or maybe BECAUSE I loved it) your parody had me on the verge of pisspantsing myself!! Seriously, I almost choked on my breakfast this morning.
That is TOTALLY my sense of humor!
I hope it's ok if I add you as a friend? You probably won't be very interested in reading my journal, since it's in German ;)
But I'm sure I'll enjoy reading yours!
