Ah, Fall. You cannot come soon enough for me. I do not do well in the heat. (WTF, Oregon? 100 degrees? Really?) Anyway, I just love the smells of fall. Pumpkin, apple, spices, the first hints of pine trees. My mom and I were at Michael's last week and they had some scented autumn flowers out. I've been craving that comforting smell ever since.
As for decorations...Hallmark has had their Christmas ornaments out for about a month now. I'm always taken aback when I see Christmas stuff around my birthday.
I used to work in retail setting up store displays. I would have gotten the Christmas set book by now and would be ready for our overnight set at the end of September. That's not too bad, but what I don't get are the swimsuits in January. By the time we need them, like now, they've long been clearanced and the stores are selling winter jackets and back to school stuff. Retail has a crap sense of timing.
