I came out of FotR drooling at the very thought of Boromir. I'm totally biased, because I've always had a bit of a Sean Bean crush, but seriously? The LotR film/promotional whirlwind is the best the man has ever looked. I just couldn't understand why, faced with Bean, anyone would even spare Legolas or, indeed, Aragorn, a thought.
Then I realised Aragorn was the hero and Legolas was pretty (though I have to say I only saw Bloom's attractiveness when he did an ep of Extras. Not my kind of pretty, but pretty indeed). I think that was actually when I first realised I'm getting old for today's pop culture: the day I thought "Oh, right. They like Bloom now the way teens liked Leo back in the day." *faceplm*
