By the time she wrote the fourth chronological Anne book, she was kind of sick of the whole thing.
Yeah, I may or may not have been obsessive enough over L. M. Montgomery's work back in the day to work out what years Anne, Gilbert, and their kids would have been born, as well as when each book took place. (The Emily of New Moon series was bit more difficult because the last book is vague when it comes to years passing.) I also may or may not have written a paper in college comparing the Emily series to the Star Wars movies.
