::sigh:: Imagine what it's like in my country (Philippines), where generations - literally - have been raised on Nestle and Unilever, and landing a job with said multinationals is considered a wonderful thing.
Seriously, the domination of the Philippine market by US brands (thanks to our colonial heritage) is something that spooks a whole lot of people. Thankfully, the new generations are more supportive of local industry, so there is hope yet.
