For me, it's kind of weird that Meyer has no issue at all with Bella becoming a vamp and presumably losing her soul. (Do vamps have souls in this screwy universe? Or does Bella magically restore them through the power of her Mary Sue-ness?) Meyer seems way more concerned that Bella wait til she was married to have sex.
