My mom makes fantastic mandelbrot, and she really enjoys messing about with it. This year, actually, she'd made this fantastic almond and apricot torte for the first seder. But the first batch of almond meal and apricot came out a little wrong, so she'd set it aside and made another batch that became the actual torte.

When she was making me a batch of mandelbrot before I headed back to school on Sunday, she substituted a half cup of the matzah meal with the almond/apricot meal, and then mixed in mini chocolate chips. It's great! Most of them have this wonderfully subtle almond flavor mixed with chocolate, and then there's the occasional tart bit of apricot.

And I'm totally foodporning here. It's so good. Though my suitemates have dubbed 'em the Jewscotti, since everyone thinks they're biscotti at first.
